In this 5 week program, you will meet once a week in a private session with your trainer. You will both learn the foundations of obedience and how to raise your puppy. This program is geared to teach you how to train your own puppy and help them grow into a well balanced dog. 

-Your puppy doesn't need just basic obedience!

Sit, down, and stay are not going to teach your puppy the skills they actually need to grow up to be a go anywhere pup!

In fact, focusing on just obedience can lead to more problems than it solves as your puppy grows up:

Your puppy needs to learn:

• Confidence in new environments 
•  That new things aren't scary
• When it's time to play and when it's time to rest
•  Potty training
• That teeth don't belong on people 
• That you are a safe person and will help them when they are scared or confused 
•  That people and dogs are not scary 
• That you don't get to greet every person and dog you see
• That bath time and toe nail trims are no big deal
•  And so much more..

None of that, however, *requires* obedience skills like sit, down, or stay.

All of this falls under socialization, which is something most people know their puppy needs... But don't really know what that means.

Focusing on obedience takes the focus off socialization and building all those necessary foundations a puppy needs in order to grow up to be a go anywhere pup!

Working on obedience will also  distract the puppy from the environment, so even if you think they are getting their socialization needs met... they often are not. 

Obedience skills are great! I'm not saying to never teach them.

But, obedience should be the cherry on top... Not the starting point. 

Each week we will help you understand learning and fear phases while providing you with age appropriate socialization opportunities. This program exposes your puppy to sights, sounds, and textures which truly provides for a one of a kind unique experience. 

You will also have an opportunity to enroll in the AKC Puppy S.T.A.R Program!

Our 2 and 3 week Puppy Jumpstart is our foundational in home training program. Your puppy will stay with one of our trainers and learn everything they would in our Green Dog Academy, however our trainer will do the training for you.

2 Weeks - $1500

3 Weeks - $2000 (includes outdoor socialization opportunities)

This program provides for a more immersive experience and takes the stress off of you dealing with housebreaking, nipping, and other challenges that come with having a new puppy.

At the completion of the program, you will have a private one one one go home session to go over everything your puppy learned and to teach you how to manage them when they are home. In addition you will have follow up sessions 2, 4, & 6 weeks later to ensure your continued success. 

The 3 week program is for puppies 12-23 weeks and includes public outing, puppies must have 3 rounds of vaccinations to participates.

*This program is NOT intended to be a stand alone training program, your puppy will require continued training as they age. We cannot guarantee complete potty training in the 2-3 week training program based on age, however, we will guarantee a schedule that we will assist with during follow ups and hand out to replicate for success.
